- After 3 years the certificate may be extended to 3 years more, once the certified professional submits two (2) case studies and provides information on the role he played within the 36‐month to the ECBSES on systems they have installed.
- The certified SEP shall apply form (see the annex) and pay the renewal fee to the ECBSES at least three months prior to the Regional Certificate expiration date.
- On expiry of extension period, the certified professional need to pass a new exam.
- The ECBSES shall re‐issue a new Regional Certificate if the systems have been installed in accordance with industry best practice. Otherwise, the professional will not have his certificate re‐issued until the non‐compliances are rectified and evidence of the rectification is submitted to ECBSES.
- The ECBSES shall reissue the Regional Certificate to certified SEP that meet the renewal criteria and send the new certificate to the technician

Awarding renewing regional certification
A
Step 1
The ECBSES shall notify the candidates about the results of the examination by e‐mail and provide the Examination Institutions a list of the unsuccessful candidates and their final assessed mark.”

Step 2
The ECBSES shall issue a Regional Certificate to successful candidates that meet the minimum pass mark after the examination.
The unsuccessful candidates have the right to appeal by following the appeals process.

Step 3
The certificate will be posted to the Exam Center for distribution to the successful candidates with information on how to maintain the credential as a regional SEP

Step 4
The initial period of the certificate is 3 years, from the issue date.
